As one of the largest contributors to climate change in the UK the NHS has developed a strategy to significantly reduce its carbon dioxide contribution.  However, more than half of the carbon the NHS produces is associated with the products and services they buy so they are developing their ‘Procuring for Carbon Reduction’ strategy (P4CR) which will impact on the procurement of all goods and services – from baked beans to high tech intensive care monitors.
